Find out how to apply for Singapore visa.
On this page
The authority for information on visa requirements is the Singapore Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA). Information here is extracted from their website www.ica.gov.sg. If you wish to find out more about visa requirements, please refer to this website. For queries on entry into Singapore, you may contact ICA directly via their website or call +65 63916100.
Visa Requirements
A Singapore visa is not an immigration pass. It is a pre-entry permission for the holder of a valid Singapore visa to travel to, and seek entry, into Singapore. The grant of an immigration pass will be determined by the ICA officers at the point of entry. Possession of a valid visa alone does not guarantee entry into Singapore.
The period of stay granted is shown on the visit pass endorsement given on your passport and it is not tied to the validity of your visa.
Entry Visa
Please refer to the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority’s website to check if you require an Entry Visa.
Visa Applications
You may apply for a visa online which must be submitted by a Local Contact (a Singapore citizen or Singapore Permanent Resident who you know and who is at least 21 years old). Visa application should be submitted within 30 days prior to arrival in Singapore. Your Local Contact may submit a visa application on your behalf using the e-Services. Your Local Contact will require his/her Singpass to use the service. A non-refundable processing visa fee of SGD30.00 will be charged to your Local Contact.
Alternatively, you may submit your visa application through our authorised visa agent, VFS Global. For more information, please visit VFS Global’s website. For queries and assistance on visa applications, please contact VFS Global directly.

Your visa application will be processed within three working days (excluding the day of submission). Some applications may take longer to process. Each visa application will be considered on its own merits.
Collection of visas
You will receive your e-Visa directly from the Authorised Visa Agent.
You may also check on the status of your e-Visa via the “Enquire Application Status” function on ICA’s e-Service, using your visa application reference number and your travel document number.
You are strongly encouraged to print out and bring along your e-Visa when travelling to Singapore, to minimise inconveniences with the airlines and immigration authorities.
